Review eBay sold comps for used items and bundles

Compare condition, accessories and variants before using a sold price to value liquidation inventory.

Match what the buyer actually received

A sold comparison is useful when it describes a product sufficiently close to yours. Match model, capacity, generation, condition and included accessories. A title mentioning the same brand is only a starting point.

Suppose three otherwise comparable sales are $80, $90 and $100. Their median is $90. A $150 bundle with extra accessories should not be included as another identical unit simply because the main product matches.

Separate used from incomplete or untested

Inspect the product before choosing the condition you intend to list. A customer return is a source classification, not a complete description of its working state. Untested inventory may require further work before you can make a reliable resale assumption.

Missing a charger, remote or mounting bracket can change the comparison. Record the difference and consider replacement cost or an explicitly incomplete listing instead of adopting the value of a complete unit.

Inspect unusual prices rather than deleting them blindly

A very low sale might be a damaged item, a wrong model or a legitimate bargain. A high sale might include a bundle or a different capacity. Read the available evidence before deciding whether it belongs in the comparison.

Do not substitute a visible asking price for a verified sold amount. If an accepted-offer amount is not available, avoid presenting the original asking price as the exact transaction value.

Carry uncertainty into the buying decision

A small number of relevant comps gives less confidence than a consistent set. Review the timestamps and keep unverified rows out of confident totals. Stress-test the price you use if the pallet’s profit depends heavily on a single expensive item.

In PalletMargin, open the fetched listings from Product results before approving an output. The final export price is your selling decision; it does not retroactively turn an uncertain match into stronger market evidence.
