Count units, not rows
A manifest with ten rows can describe hundreds of physical items. Multiply each product quantity by its unit value, and divide the full purchase, freight and buyer fees by physical units to understand your average landed cost.
Check the quantity column
Confirm that the mapped quantity means units rather than cases or packs. Invalid, zero and fractional quantities require correction in the source file. Blank quantities assume one and are flagged for confirmation.
Set a purchase ceiling
Compare matched resale proceeds after your estimated seller fees with the entire landed cost. Unmatched products remain unvalued. Leave room for shipping, damaged goods, returns and your time.
